England's junior doctors launched a five-day strike on Dec 17 after rejecting the government's offer.

In the lab, if you underfund, you lose your people. Doctors voted 83% against the offer because the path is clogged and the pay story does not add up. A five-day strike is a blunt instrument, but sometimes you need a hammer to show where the crystal is fractured. The government can negotiate seriously, or keep paying the cost in cancelled care.
